Week 10

What's Happening:

Chan Chao is finished — properly finished. Roof crests, fretwork railings, timber steps, wraparound porch, even the site cleared and tidied around it. Seeing it standing complete next to Chotimanee's raw timber frame in the background is a genuinely striking contrast: one house at the very end of its journey, the other still very much in the middle of its own.

Chotimanee, meanwhile, is deep into roof and wall work. The main roof structure is fully framed now, complete with the traditional gable ends taking shape, and pallets of materials — likely wall panels or roofing — are staged and waiting on site, ready for the next phase. Two floors of frame are essentially locked in; from here it's about closing the building in.
