Week fifteen was one of those "look how far it's come" weeks. The staircase went in — that solid teak run curling up through the middle of the house, with a hand-turned balustrade that finally makes the upper floor feel like part of a real home rather than a plan on paper. It's the first thing in the build that's felt genuinely finished rather than in-progress, and walking up it for the first time was a small milestone in itself.

Elsewhere, the pace stayed steady rather than dramatic — roofing, framing, and the veranda columns continuing to take shape under teak beams. But the real shift this week was underfoot: tiling began in the bathrooms, and the first patterned accent tiles went down, a burst of navy, mustard, and teal against the terracotta that hints at how much personality these small rooms are going to carry once they're done.
