Laniakea
Week 14
What's Happening:
A genuinely exciting week — for the first time, we could actually walk inside and see what the upstairs rooms would feel like. Teak stairs lead up to a landing, window frames are fitted, and the raw plank walls and ceilings are finally enclosed enough to read as real rooms rather than an open frame. The smell hits you before anything else — that unmistakable fresh-cut teak scent that fills the whole house at this stage, something no photo can capture but that instantly tells you what kind of house this is.
Downstairs, ground floor rooms are coming along too, walls plastered and door openings framed in. And in the background of a few shots, the garage structure continues to rise — its own timber frame and tiled roof taking shape alongside the main house.
