Week 16
What's Happening:
Week sixteen was about finishes catching up to structure. Inside, the carved teak balustrade along the staircase is now fully detailed — the fretwork panels finally complete, turning what was a functional stair rail into one of the house's real showpieces. Rooms are moving from bare timber shells into liveable spaces: walls plastered and skimmed, floor tiling underway room by room, and the first stretch of that striking black-and-white retro granite pattern now down in the hallway.
Outside, the garage has gone up in double time — framing and roof structure racing along at a pace that's outstripped almost everything else on site this week, with the crew working the roofline against a moody, cloud-heavy sky that looked more dramatic than the actual weather turned out to be.
