Laniakea
Week 6
What's Happening:
This is the week Chotimanee really started rising. The teak support posts are up, set into the concrete columns from previous weeks and braced with scaffolding while the crew works from height to fit the horizontal beams that will carry the frame. These aren't ordinary posts either — the four main front posts are whole teak trees, specially selected for the job, and it shows: you can see Preaw in one shot, hand on the wood, just quietly falling in love with it. It's physical, exacting work too — teak this size doesn't forgive a bad measurement, and you can see the concentration in every shot of the crew up on the scaffolding.
Chan Chao, meanwhile, is closing in on finished. The ornate gate and carved fretwork panels are on, exterior wall paneling is complete, and the roof crests are fully fitted — from certain angles it barely reads as a construction site anymore.
