Foundation work is now well underway across Chotimanee's full footprint. The red steel formwork channels crisscross the site marking out every wall and footing, and this week's big addition is the termite protection system — black tubing threaded along the trenches and up through the footings, ready to carry treatment chemical around the entire base of the house before the slab goes down. Off to the side, the crew mixed and pumped the treatment solution from a large tub, feeding it through the tubing via a submersible pump. Compacted red soil is being laid and tamped down across sections of the footprint too, with wire mesh already embedded ready for the slab pour. Chan Chao's blue tarpaulin shelter is still visible in the background, work continuing there in parallel.
