What's Happening:

Week eighteen marked a real turning point: inspection and sign-off by Khun Tem. Both crews have now left the plot, and for the first time since construction began, there's an eerie silence where there used to be saws, hammers, and ten workers underfoot. The crew village sits empty now, tarps and equipment abandoned mid-use, a strange stillness where there was constant activity just days before.

What they've left behind speaks for itself: Chotimanee stands largely complete, its teak facade and carved balcony railings catching the afternoon light against a clear sky. Next up is the "colour team" — the specialists who'll handle all the sanding, varnishing, and painting throughout the house. Once they've worked through it, the original crew will return for final-fix electrics and snagging, closing out the build properly. For now, though, the plot sits still, holding its breath between one phase and the next.
